Tour Plan

Day 1: Kolkata to Sundarban Godkhali

• Start your journey from Kolkata at 5:30 am by an air-conditioned car and drive to Sundarban Godkhali, the gateway to the Sundarban forest.
• Arrive at Godkhali by 9:00 am and take a boat to Sajnekhali watch tower, where you will get your permits to enter the jungle and get your guide assigned by the forest department.
• Visit the mangrove interpretation centre, the crocodile farm, the turtle hatchery and the Bono Bibi temple at Sajnekhali.
• Enjoy a hot breakfast on board the boat and cruise along the narrow creeks and rivers of the Sundarban Jungle.
• Enjoy spotting wildlife such as crocodiles, wild boars, spotted deers, water monitor lizards, kingfishers and other birds. If you are lucky, you might see the Royal Bengal Tiger.
• Visit Sudhanyakhali watch tower, where you can see a pond where tigers often come to drink water.
• Enjoy a delicious lunch on board the boat and cruise back to Godkhali.
• Travel back to Kolkata by an air-conditioned car.
