Tour Plan

Day 1: Kolkata to Sundarban Godkhali

• Depart from Kolkata at 8:00 am and travel by car to Sundarban Godkhali, which is about 100 km away1.
• Reach Godkhali by 11:30 am and board a boat to Gosaba island2.
• Check in to a cottage on the bank of Gomor river and have lunch.
• In the afternoon, take a village walk and interact with the locals. Learn about their culture and lifestyle2.
• In the evening, visit the Sundarban Bird Jungle and enjoy bird watching and sunset views2.
• Return to the cottage and enjoy a folk dance performance and bonfire2.
• Have dinner and overnight stay at the cottage.

Day 2: Sundarban Jungle Excursion

• Wake up early and have breakfast.
• Board a boat cruise and head towards the Sundarban Jungle, the world’s largest mangrove forest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site1.
• Enjoy spotting wildlife such as crocodiles, wild boars, spotted deers, water monitor lizards, kingfishers and other birds. If you are lucky, you might see the Royal Bengal Tiger2.
• Visit three watch towers: Dobanki, Sudhanyakhali and Sajnekhali. Dobanki has a canopy walk that lets you walk among the trees. Sudhanyakhali has a pond where tigers often come to drink water. Sajnekhali has a museum, a crocodile park and a turtle hatchery1.
• Have lunch on board the boat cruise.
• Return to Godkhali by 4:00 pm and travel back to Kolkata by car1.
• Reach Kolkata by 7:00 pm and end your tour.
